I know the demise of Ocanos is old news by now, but I could not sign into my account due to misplacing the password. We are all so paranoid about passwords and security that everything has to be different. To solve the problem, I am taking a memory course on June 26th, or is it the 25th? Just kidding.
So now Ocanos is "No"canos. The sign is down and lots of people are breathing a sigh of relief. How long the relief will last is unknown. How are they going to recoop the 98 Million? Rumors are flying about a major chain buying it. Hmmm.
And what of all the others? Playa Crystal appears to have closed their office, the Colony is laying low, and Indigo Bay is ????? Then there is Angler's Reef with the "31 flavors". They are now offering long term rentals. Any of you put deposits on these properties? Do you want something else that exists? Call me, I'll be happy to help you find it.

Do you have an update to your June, 2007 post? Last I heard the demolition is still a dead issue but that major renovations are still possible. I would like to find out if the core spirit of the property (e.g. TIKI, Kokomo, Rumrunners) will remain intact. Any insights you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

As it stands right now, all the play places are up and running. They will have to remodel some which is normal in the Hotel business. The core spirit is what brings in the $$$. How many Rumrunners do you think they serve on a weekend? Have you noticed the cups get smaller every year?
