According to a study by Nation Association of Realtors, Baby Boomers are particularly active in acquiring second homes.
Overall, 5% of all Boomers own one or more second homes. For Boomer housholds with annual incomes of $100,000. or more, 11% own second homes. Among all Boomers who own these properties, 88% percent own one and 12% own 2 or more, said the NAR report. Sixty-two% of second home owners spend 3-10 days per visit at their vacation home.
